lindsay ann brashier
|
lindsay
ann brashier was attending the first semester of her
freshman year of college at
the university of texas at austin on november 10, 1996, when a
drunk driver tragically killed her.
she was
majoring in molecular biology, as
it was her goal and her passion upon graduation, to attend baylor
college of medicine and become an orthopedic surgeon. she was a
1996 graduate of westbury
high school in houston. while at westbury,
she was president of the national honor society, president and
vice-president of the english
honor society, a member of the students for social
responsibility, the math and
science clubs, and many others.
in
honor of the memory of this
special young lady, and her quest for knowledge, a window of
opportunity foundation established the lindsay ann brashier
scholarship in
2002.
